FCA Conference
 The conference was a blast!  Thanks to those who came out, those who shared and those who helped make our first conference a success!
       


Amy Foster, Katie Chen, Keith Kober and his nephew, Rick Kober, swam from  San Francisco Bay's Aquatic Park around Alcatraz and back to the bay!    The group did awesome for the 3 1/2 mile swim!  Rick was bit underwater by a diving aquatic bird who thought his finger was food!


 Kid's Power Camp
June 16-20, 2008
11 year old World BMX Champion,
 Broch Heffron visits our camp!



Our five day camp let us practice sports skills & character development through bible study and application.
Our character building theme was
 "What am I to become?"--
A glory giver, a tonuge tamer, a do-er,
 a perseverant and an example.

We did volleyball, basketball, baseball, football and soccer drills led by coaches in middle school on up.  Ex-MLB player Tommy Barrett led our baseball drills day!

Kyrene Community Education  and FCA Presents
Beginning Triathlon Class 
Stijn Demeulemeester, Pro Triathlete from Belgum, came by our class while in Tempe for the AZ Ironman race!

 

Group ride with 16 kids + coaches and parents!

·   Our six week class worked up to the Healthy Families Beginner’s Distance Triathlon on
 Saturday, April 12^th, the day before Ironman Arizona!
